Mabon Spell

Cast a magic Circle or get into a magic space. Bring with you the following:

In a circle, anoit the candles with the Mabon oil. Hold the gold candle and charge it with words to bring prosperity. So mote it be. Charge the black candle to draw you all that is safe, correct, and granted by the Gods and Goddesses.

Place the candles in the holers and as you light them say: This flame is the light of the God Mabon and the Mother Goddess Modron. Light the charcoal. Put a pinch of Prosperity Incense on it.

Take the paper and write your spell, what ever it may be, what ever you may want. Repeat this outloud, speaking to Mabon and Modron. Thank them for the bounty they have given you in the past. Think of the Wheel of the Year that has come before, and be truly thankful for all you have been granted.

Smudge the spell in the smoke of the incense by passing thepaper through the rising smoke. Roll the spell and tie with some yellow thread or cord and set it aside. Place the fabric square or magic bag in front of you with some gold cord to tie it. Pick up your dried herbs and stone one by one. Hold them in your hands. Lift your hands and show them to the God and Goddess. Visualize htlight of the God and Goddess striking the object. Place the herbs and stone in the mag, tie , and set aside.

Snuff out your candles or let them burn. You may want to relight them at a time when you want to again cast the spell. Carry the spell and magick bag with you.

January Love Spell

You will need a red candle, a white candle, two candle holders, a ballpoint pen, vanilla scented oil, and a piece of rose quartz.

Turn on some soft, romantic music, draw a magic circle, and call in your favorite love goddess or god. With the ballpoint pen, write the name of the deity and your initials on the red candle. Then draw a heart around what you’ve written. Write the deity’s name and your initials on the white candle, but encircle them with a sun symbol instead of a heart symbol. This symbolizes the linking of earthly and divine love. Next, cover both candles with a thin coating of the vanilla oil, and place them in their holders. Wipe the oil off your hands. Put the piece of rose quartz between the candles. Light the red candle. As you do, imagine its light as being divine love that ignites the fiery passion in your very soul. Now light the white candle, and see the this divine love igniting your love life even more.

Now, pick up and hold the rose quartz in your power hand (your right hand if you are right-handed and vice versa). Feel it warm up from the heat of your hand. Gaze deeply into the flames and say:

Flaming fires of divine love,

Brighten my love life every day,

Help me experience love and joy

In many splendorous and romantic ways.

Hold the stone in your hand while you gaze into the flames. Imagine the romantic and splendorous ways you can experience more love every day of the year. Thank deity and close the circle. Carry the rose quartz with you in your pocket or purse to encourage more love in your daily life.

Tea Spells

Blend the teas for a recipe in a plastic baggy or a glass jar, then measure out one tablespoon per cup of tea.

A small two cup teapot will take two tablespoons of tea.

If you are like me, however, two cups of tea equates to three because I prefer my tea with lots of milk, because the tea base is black tea leaves, the addition of milk and a sweetener makes for a very flavorful beverage.

Unless you are making tea for a crowd, you really do need more than one or two tablespoons of tea at any one time.

Store in a closed jar in a cabinet away from light.

1 tablespoon China black,
English breakfast, or Irish breakfast tea
2 teaspoons lemon balm
1 teaspoon eyebright
1 tablespoon mugwort
1 tablespoon rose hips

1 tablespoon China black tea
1 teaspoon elder flower
1 teaspoon nettle
2 teaspoon burdock root
2 teaspoon mullein
2 teaspoon rose hip

1 tablespoon China black tea
1 teaspoon damiana
1 teaspoon raspberry leaves
2 teaspoon chamomile
2 teaspoon mullein
2 teaspoon rose hips

1 tablespoon China black or English breakfast tea
2 teaspoon chamomile
1 teaspoon rose hips
2 teaspoon elder flower

1 tablespoon China black tea
2 teaspoon fennel
1 teaspoon valerian
1 teaspoon chamomile
2 teaspoon hyssop

1 tablespoon English breakfast tea
1 teaspoon elder flower
2 teaspoon rose hips
1 teaspoon chamomile
2 teaspoon hops
1 teaspoon valerian

1 tablespoon China black tea
2 teaspoon fennel
1 teaspoon mint
2 teaspoon rose hips
1 teaspoon elder flower
2 teaspoon hops
1 teaspoon mullein
1 teaspoon white oak

1 tablespoon Irish or English breakfast tea
2 teaspoon elder flower
1 teaspoon linden flower
1 teaspoon valerian
2 teaspoon burdock root
1 teaspoon comfrey
1 teaspoon hyssop
2 teaspoon rose hips

Besides magical teas, there are combinations that are simply a pleasant way to reconnect with the earth devas, the Goddess and the God. For this type of quiet closeness to nature, you might want to try these taste combinations of herbal teas:

  • English breakfast, rose hips, and hyssop
  • Linden flower and chamomile
  • China black, chamomile, and rose hips
  • English breakfast, dandelion root, rose hips, and chamomile
  • English breakfast, elder flower, hops, and rose hips

Spell To Gain Courage

If you find that your life is constrained by your timidity, or perhaps if you are facing a difficult and frightening situation, try the following spell that calls on the strength of the bull and boar to help you.

You will need:

• 6-inch (15 centimeter) square of orange cloth
• Red thread or ribbon
• Pinch of dried thyme
• Pinch of fried basil
• A few black peppercorns
• A few drops of orange oil

Lay out the cloth and sprinkle the thyme, basil, peppercorn and orange oil onto it saying:

“The strength of bull, the daring of boar
Grant me courage, now and more
Grant me bravery in my life each day
To follow my path and have my say.”

Tie up the sachet with the red thread or ribbon and keep it near you. Keep it in your bag or pocket, and place it beneath your pillow when you sleep. Every full moon, replace the herbs and oil. When the sachet has served its purpose, untie the knot and bury it.

To Ease Pain and Renew Hope

This spell can be performed to ease the pain of a broken relationship, divorce, death of a loved one or other painful circumstance and to build and renew a sense of hope in the future.

The ingredients you will need are:
One Black Candle
3 Pieces of Amethyst
Vetivert Oil
One White Candle
3 Pieces of Rose Quartz
Lotus Oil

At Sunset on the night of the Full Moon, take the Black Candle and inscribe with a short description of your problem, i.e. divorce, break-up, death, etc. Anoint the Candle with Vetivert oil and charge it. Set the candle in a holder on your altar. Take the three pieces of amethyst and hold in your hand. Visualize your pain and pour it into the stones. Place the stones in a circle around the base of the candle holder and light the candle. Visualize the pain
leaving you. Allow the candle to burn down one third of the way and then extinguish. Take one of the pieces of amethyst outside. Hold it into your hand and again see and feel your pain transferring to the stone. Then take the stone and throw it from you with all your might. Never take this stone up again.

Repeat this spell for the next two nights, until the candle has completely burned down, and the amethyst stones are gone. Take any remaining wax from the candle and bury off of your property. At Sunrise on the morning of the New Moon, take the White Candle and inscribe with the word “hope”. Anoint the candle with Lotus oil and charge it. Set the candle in a holder on your altar. Take the three pieces of rose quartz and hold in your hand. Visualize a positive future for yourself. See yourself living, laughing, and enjoying life. Place the stones in a circle around the base of the candle holder and light the candle. Visualize and feel a strong sense of hope and expectancy coming to you. Allow the candle to burn down one third of the way and then extinguish.

Repeat this spell for the next two nights, until the candle has completely burned down. Take the rose quartz pieces and place one in your purse, pocket, medicine bag, or amulet to be carried with you. Place another by a window sill in a sunny room. Take the last piece and bury it by a tree in your yard as an offering. If you don’t have a yard, you may bury it in a flower pot or plant in your home or place outside the entrance of your home.

Be patient…it takes time for pain to come to an end, but this spell will set you well on your way.

Emotional Peace Spell

When you are feeling overwhelmed emotionally, this is a good spell to help pick you up. It is particularly effective following emotional upheavals.

You will need:
Clear thought oil.
Clear thought oil
1/4 ounce almond oil
15 drops Siberian fir oil
10 drops cajupet oil
10 drops lemon oil
12 drops lavender oil

Sometime between the waning moon and New Moon anoint yourself with the oil and go outside. Sit where you can see the moonlight- near a pond or stream would be ideal. You should also be in a place where you can scream without causing a fuss. If you have to sit in your car, that’s ok.

Let all the thoughts and worries that have been haunting you bubble to the surface. Let them churn and roll until they feel like they’re drowning you.

Raise your arms to the sky and open your mouth. Begin to let out the sound of worry, the sound of troubles. It can be a scream or a moan or a low groan, but let it out fully pour out of your body.

When it feels like you’ve let go of the stress, anoint yourself again with the oil and go for a short walk, focusing on the stillness of the night around you.
